Let’s start with the fact that it’s fun working with cardboard and crafting houses with it, huh? It was amazing for me. I had such a great time measuring and cutting the cardboard to create my project.
I made some mistakes; you can see them in the pictures. And the first mistake I made in this project was using a very greasy, dirty pizza box to make my craft, instead of spending a few bucks on real cardboard.
But despite the fact that I used very bad cardboard, the final result is actually really good. And I am really impressed because with just a few cuts and just a few steps of gluing parts into each other, I was able to create a very nice little cardboard house.

Step by step
Build process
Prepare and cutting the cardboard
The first step is to just start preparing, measuring, and cutting the cardboard in the right spot. If you want to get the exact sizes that I used for this project, check out the video associated with this project, which you can find on this page.
Glue the pieces together!
After we did all the cuts, now it’s time to actually start gluing the parts together and start creating the house that we have in our mind. So, if you don’t know how to glue the parts together, again, I would recommend you to watch the video, and you will know which part belongs to which place, basically.
What I would change
I think, as you can already guess, I would change the way that I choose my cardboards from now on, because I used a very dirty, greasy pizza box to craft this house, which, if I had just bought a cardboard or used a maybe clean one, would have been a better choice.
Mistake
I would definitely not use a dirty or pizza box for my cardboard crafts anymore.
Final result
Despite the fact that I have chosen a wrong cardboard, the final result is actually really nice. So I really enjoyed the time that I spent building this house out of cardboard, and now I am very happy with the final result.
