This Privacy Policy explains what personal data NabiMakes collects when you visit nabimakes.com, sign in, or use the NabiMakes Tools, how that data is used, and the choices you have.
Who we are
NabiMakes (nabimakes.com) is a personal maker website run by Nabi. In this policy, “NabiMakes”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the site and its operator. For any privacy question or request, email nabimakes.com@gmail.com.
Data we collect
Account data from Google or GitHub sign-in
You can create an account and sign in with your Google or GitHub account. We do not offer password accounts. When you sign in, the provider shares the following with us, only after you agree on its consent screen:
- your name,
- your email address,
- your profile picture, and
- an account identifier from the provider, used to recognise you the next time you sign in.
From Google we request only the basic openid, email and profile scopes. We never receive your Google or GitHub password, and we do not access your contacts, files, emails or any other data in those accounts. This data is stored in your account on nabimakes.com.
Usage data (Google Analytics)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are visited and how people arrive. Google Analytics is only loaded after you click “Accept” or allow it under “More options” in the cookie banner; until then no data is sent to Google. When active, it uses cookies and collects data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and referring website. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and uses standard contractual clauses. Google processes this data under its own Privacy Policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time via Privacy settings.
Server logs
Like most websites, our server records technical request data, such as IP address, date and time, requested page, browser user agent and referrer. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working, and are kept only for a limited time.
Cookies
- Consent cookie (Real Cookie Banner): remembers your choice in the cookie banner for six months. It is strictly necessary and does not identify you.
- Sign-in cookies (WordPress and the Google/GitHub sign-in): keep you signed in and protect your session. They are set only when you sign in and are needed for your account and the Tools to work.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics:
_ga,_ga_*, up to 2 years): measure site usage as described above. Set only with your consent.
We ask for your consent with Real Cookie Banner. Your choice, the time of the choice and the banner settings you saw are documented on our own server as proof of consent, without your IP address. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via Privacy settings, also linked at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing does not affect processing that happened before.
Messages and newsletter
If you email us or sign up for updates, we use your email address and message only to reply to you or to send the updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your address at any time.
How we use your data
- To create your account, sign you in and give you access to members-only features such as the NabiMakes Tools.
- To show your name and profile picture in your account menu.
- To contact you about your account when necessary.
- To keep the site secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To understand and improve the site’s content (analytics, only with your consent).
We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising profiles, and we do not send marketing emails without your consent.
NabiMakes Tools
The NabiMakes Tools at nabimakes.com/tools/ need a signed-in account. Anything you enter into or upload to a tool is used only to provide that tool’s function to you. It is not sold, not shared with third parties for their own purposes, and not used to identify you.
Google API Services User Data Policy
NabiMakes’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to sign you in and run your NabiMakes account. It is not transferred to others, not used for advertising, and not read by humans except where you ask us for support, where security or abuse investigation requires it, or where the law requires it.
Who we share data with
We share personal data only with the service providers needed to run the site:
- our hosting provider, which runs the server the site is stored on,
- Google (Google Analytics if you consent, and Google sign-in if you choose it),
- GitHub (if you choose GitHub sign-in), and
- our email provider, for messages you send us or that we send you.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it or to protect the site and its users from abuse.
External links
The site links to YouTube, online shops and other websites. Some shop links are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we may earn a small commission, and the shop may learn that you came from NabiMakes. Once you follow a link, the other website’s privacy policy applies. We do not embed YouTube videos that load automatically.
How long we keep data
Account data is kept while your account exists. When you delete your account, or ask us to, we delete your account data within 30 days, except where we must keep something for legal reasons. Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in Google Analytics. Server logs are deleted automatically after a short period.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- get a copy of the personal data we hold about you,
- have it corrected or deleted,
- object to or restrict how we use it,
- receive it in a portable format, and
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, including deleting your account, email nabimakes.com@gmail.com from the address linked to your account. You can also remove NabiMakes’ access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and to your GitHub account under GitHub Settings → Applications.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and sign-in is handled by Google or GitHub, so we never store a password for you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
Children
NabiMakes is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will point it out on the site or by email.
