Spacer & Washer Generator

About Spacer & Washer Generator

Spacer & Washer Generator makes flat washers to ISO 7089, ISO 7093, SAE and USS, plain spacers, and standoffs with a heat-set insert's or a nut's pocket at either end, for metric screws from M2 and inch screws from #2. A set prints one row per height with its height on a tag, so the box stays sorted. Heights snap to your layers so each prints as stated, and bores take your printer's measured fit.

Frequently asked questions

Why are my printed washers thicker than the standard?
A standard M3 washer is 0.5 mm, less than three layers, which barely prints. The tool rounds thin washers up to whole layers, three at least, unless you keep the standard thickness.
Which heat-set insert fits which standoff?
The tool takes the insert's hole, depth and the wall it needs from its table, warns when the body is too thin for it and offers a wider one, and when two inserts do not fit the height it offers short ones.
Why does the nut pocket print at the top?
A nut's pocket at the bottom would need a ceiling bridged over the hole. At the top it opens upwards, so the tool turns the standoff to put it there.
How does the set stay sorted?
Each height prints as its own row beside a tag with the height cut into it, and in the 3MF each piece is named by its height.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Spacer & Washer Generator runs in the browser, and the geometry is built on your computer. It is free; you need a free NabiMakes account to download the files.
