About Ruler Generator
Ruler Generator makes a printable ruler: choose its length and width, millimetres, inches or both, the ticks engraved or raised, and your own label. It checks that the ruler fits your printer's bed and that its ticks and text print cleanly with your nozzle, then downloads it as STL or 3MF.

- Can the ruler show inches?
- Yes. It can show millimetres, inches or both, with millimetres on the front edge and inches on the back, and inch ticks every 1/16, 1/8 or 1/4 inch.
- How long can the ruler be?
- From 50 to 330 mm. A ruler longer than your bed but short enough to lie across it diagonally gets a warning to turn it 45° in the slicer.
- How do I get the ticks in another colour?
- Choose raised ticks. They start at the ruler's thickness, so changing filament at that height prints them in a second colour.
- Can I share a ruler?
- Yes. Copy link puts the whole ruler in the address. Whoever opens it gets it as a new design; their own rulers are untouched.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Ruler Generator runs in the browser, and the geometry is built on your computer. It is free; you need a free NabiMakes account to download the file.
