Hex Key Holder Generator

About Hex Key Holder Generator

Hex Key Holder Generator makes stands and wall blocks for L-keys: up to three rows of your own metric, inch and Torx keys, each hole sized from your printer. A short snug hexagon at the mouth holds each key straight and a round relief below lets it in freely, so keys neither rattle nor jam; Torx keys sit in a hexagon on their lobes. Every size is raised in front of its hole. It stands on the bench, hangs on screws, keyholes or a 45° French cleat, or sits in a Gridfinity grid, and a quick fit strip tries your keys first.

Frequently asked questions

Why does each hole have a narrow top and a wider bottom?
The top 4 mm is a snug hexagon that holds the key straight; below it a round relief clears the key's corners, so a key slides in without jamming and the grip does not tighten with the hole's depth.
How do Torx keys stop from turning?
Each sits in a hexagon whose corners reach its lobes, a shape that prints cleanly; the lobes cannot turn past the flats while the hole's growth stays under about a sixth of the key's size.
Can I add a size the tables do not have, such as 5.5 mm?
Yes. Type it in a metric row: it gets its own hexagon, across its flats.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Hex Key Holder Generator runs in the browser, and the geometry is built on your computer. It is free; you need a free NabiMakes account to download the files.
